A garden for everyone in Cesena
"Have you ever wanted to have a corner of the land of your own, cultivate it with your own hands and find out how easy, healthy, fun and economical it is to get flowers, vegetables and fresh vegetables?" Here it is a beautiful anti-crisis initiative, it is called: "Orto Bello Cesena", a two-hectare plot of land in San Giorgio (Cesena), where for the time being 11 gardens have been located on an area of 80 square meters, provided by Brighi Ezio, a direct grower, who is already ready to prepare the land for another 22 small gardens. A CORNER OF EARTH FOR ALL CITIZENS OF CESENA "Orto Bello Cesena" is the initiative of a private individual, an alternative to the gardens given in concession by many Municipalities to pensioners, which provide long waiting lists and specific age requirements or of income. "My idea - explains Brighi - is not to divide according to age or income, but to combine business with pleasure. This new initiative aims to create a micro community with the common goal of cultivating the vegetable garden. , composed of people of any age, origin, residence, culture and socio-economic position ". The annual rent for the garden is from 250 to 500 euros. "My regulation prohibits the use of synthetic substances, I push for composting, I think it is everyone's duty to reuse what nature gives us. Recipients You should not think of a particular category of people, many types of people They could become users of the family vegetable garden, also seen as a place to share in the extended family. The grandfather could take care of the vegetable garden in the morning, the mother with the children in the afternoon, the Pope at the weekend. also persons belonging to associations, bodies or pre-established groups such as the elderly of recreation centers, primary school children, a group from the parish etc. Orto Equipment (10mx8m); Toolbox; Network 1.5m high with private wooden gate; personal irrigation for autonomous vegetable garden with tap Az. "Botanica" is the event that combines artistic and scientific themes with the knowledge and preservation of plant heritage, with particular attention to ancient and forgotten varieties, looking at the most important traditional and excellent productions present in our beautiful country as is Zafferano . All of this because Lastra a Signa is the national headquarters of the Association that groups the greatest number of saffron producers under the aegis of "Italian Saffron" and in this capacity now beyond that city of music is called the city of saffron.

For advanced gardening. Sound emotions
Among the botanical novelties
The fourth edition of Orticolario, an event dedicated to advanced gardening, will be held from 5 to 7 October 2012 at Villa Erba (Lake Como).
The new edition aims to stimulate the public through the most suggestive routes, in a tangle of senses that will favor listening. In fact, the proposed theme will be "Sound Emotions": a journey through the sounds and noises of the garden, in search of sensations originating from nature and from the place so loved by Luchino Visconti.
As always, the heart of the event will be plants and flowers, with original and sought-after proposals brought from all over Italy and abroad by over 200 selected exhibitors.
This fourth edition of Orticolario will be dedicated to the Orchid, one of the most numerous species in nature (there are over 30,000) and more widely spread at geographical and climatic level.
However, this year the news will not only concern orchids.
From saffron, produced by the Egisto Brandi nurseryman from S. Quirico d'Orcia (SI), to Goji berries and Siberian blueberries from the La Chicca farm in Tresivio (SO), to the "curious sachets" by Patrizio Innocenti of Italsementi di Rassina (AR), Orticolario will amaze visitors with new proposals and original suggestions.
Do not miss the climbing plant Lygedium Japonicum of Garden Studio of Bologna or the Japanese maples of Giancarlo Stucchi of Agrate Brianza (MB), in addition to the unusual and rare plants of the Nursery Association of Castel San Pietro, in the Canton Ticino, a nursery recovered by young people who now employ immigrants and refugees.
An important novelty to be reported to visitors of Orticolario is the possibility of buying an entrance ticket online: you will avoid long queues with a saving on the cost of the ticket (10 euros instead of 14 at the cash desks).
Orticolario has charitable purposes: the profits made will in fact be destined to the realization of projects of some local associations.
