Resin vases for outdoor use: why choose them
The choice of outdoor resin pots makes it possible to have available containers or containers for plants that can withstand any climatic or environmental condition without problems. Indeed, the advantages deriving from the use of this material are quite numerous: let's see them together.
The resin, as mentioned, easily tolerates the most diverse climatic conditions, also from the point of view of temperatures: a resin pot is not damaged or cracked by temperatures below zero or by temperatures above forty degrees, and can therefore be used in any place, both outdoors and indoors, on balconies or terraces as in apartments or greenhouses.
The (winning) comparison with plastic and terracotta
It is worth making a comparison between the resin, plastic and terracotta, which are the most frequently used materials for making vases. From an economic point of view, the yield is placed halfway between the other two, in the sense that it has a lower price than terracotta but costs slightly more than plastic, which on the other hand finds its very low costs one of the its strengths. It is also true, however, that the resin vases for outdoor use, compared to those in plastic, are decidedly more beautiful and more pleasing from an aesthetic point of view: not only because they prove to be able to adapt more easily to the surrounding context, fitting harmoniously into any environment regardless of style (be it an ultra-modern apartment, a minimal studio apartment, a country house, a rustic-style house, etc.), but also because they offer decidedly cleaner and more linear lines, characterized by a modern and essential design but with a strong visual impact. It is necessary to specify, among the other peculiarities of these products, the remarkable ability to withstand impacts and blows, which differentiates the resin from the terracotta: in short, it is sufficient to try to make a terracotta vase fall to the ground, and see it crumble into a thousand pieces , to notice the fragility of this material. Vice-versa, resin pots and planters are able to withstand any blow, without cracking, breaking or otherwise damaging themselves: therefore, they are particularly suitable for the gardens in which children play (the balloons do not cause problems, as well as other toys that they should cozzare), but also for apartments where they could be hit by vacuum cleaners, brooms, floor brushes, and so on.
The resin, solid and resistant
Solid and resistant, therefore, the resin can be dropped without causing damage. It should be noted, on the other hand, that depending on the material of which the pot is composed, the plant that is being cultivated will need different maintenance and care. Just to give an example, terracotta favors a much better breathability than plastic, and slightly higher than resin: which means that a plant buried in a terracotta pot will need more frequent watering, since the ground water it tends to evaporate more easily, as well as more constant fertilization, given that the water, by evaporating, also carries nutrients with it. Therefore, terracotta causes slightly higher costs. Instead, the plastic is of a completely different kind, which does not allow anything to transpire, and consequently can give rise to problems of water stagnation or excess humidity, which in turn risk causing rottenness to the root apparatus or to the collar, or in any case to expose plants to fungal infections. Also in this case, therefore, it can be noted that the resin represents an excellent compromise solution between the very breathable terracotta and the plastic, which is not at all breathable. The water present in the soil of the plants located in the resin pots evaporates with the right regularity: for this reason, the waterings must not be very frequent (with consequent relief for those who cannot devote too much attention to the plants) and also the costs to buy the fertilizers will be reduced.
A very light material
Solid, sturdy and resistant, the resin however is also very light: this means that it is possible to move vases and planters effortlessly from one side to the other. This is obviously a particularly useful feature when a plant has to be transferred, for example from a point of the shady garden to a sunny spot, or from the outside to the inside in the presence of very violent rainfall: the vessel it can be lifted without too much effort and without damage to the back, unlike what could happen with the heavy earthenware vessels.
External resin vases: The right compromise between practicality and aesthetic appearance
In conclusion, it can be seen that outdoor resin vases constitute the right compromise between aesthetic appearance and functionality: practical, comfortable and comfortable, they resist shocks and are not damaged. Therefore, it will be necessary to replace them only for repottings, and not for other reasons. About the repottings, the resin containers will be very useful for those plants that need frequent repotting, since the material, light but resistant, facilitates the operations of decanting. Prices, as mentioned, are not excessive, even if they depend on the place where the purchase is made (online, in supermarkets or in some specialized garden center).
